Alison Moyet??

Talking of diet plans..

I hardly recognized her on Jools Hollands show;

I'll have an empty bowl of what she didn't have..

    She looked great didn't she?

    Well, when I say great.............

It didn't seem to me she was firing on all cylinders though and I hope we see much more of her this coming year as she's unbeatable in full flight.

Yes diets seem to take years off some people, and 'Alf' is one of them.

Jonbouy you are right about her performance, it didn't pull me in. Still, everyone's entitled to an off day and it's good to see and hear from her again.

Are you guys saying her performance lost a little heft?

Let's not get weighed down with semantics, OK?

This place is heavy enough without it.

Let's all lighten up a little.

Are you accusing me of being fattist?

Let me remind you, you are indeed fattest.

She didn't seem to have the 'power' in her voice of old.

Is that something to do with her weight loss I wonder?

I don't think so there were hints that it's all still there, maybe she just wasn't as hungry this time out...

I also saw her on Jools Holland and I wouldn't have recognised her except for the voice.

Anyone else think that Wanda Jackson gave a couple of embarassingly poor performances compared with everyone else (Kylie included)?  She reminded me of Karaoke night in a Bermondsey pub.

Yes, she was pretty poor, as was Daltrey, I thought his Mannish Boy was never going to end. Kylie wasn't bad at all, within her limits. I heard her doing some unplugged stuff on the radio a while back, and was quietly impressed.

Man, what were you expecting! I think she inspired Lulu to sing, it was a celebration just to see she is still alive.

Way to go Wanda I say!

Kylie was pure class, I think a lot of pop star wannabees ought to do the pub type atmosphere with the excellent backing of Jool's band, to sort out the wheat from the chaff.  We all know Kylie can do the business though, what we want to see is Cheryl Cole in the same circumstances.

    (or do we?)

There is only one good thing to say about wor Cheryl's singing voice JB...
