Thanks, Marc. So what exactly do these maps do - take generic midi input and map it to ARD output?

After you answer benjaminfrog, can you tell me how you like Abbey Road drums? I am thinking about buying them. I could use some Abbey Road mojo.

I have the 70s drums. I really like them. They were on sale at the time so it was worth it. However, I really wanted the 60s drum sets. To me they were the best of all the sets. Also, you get midi drum loops which you can easily paste in Sonar. I downloaded the modern set but found out it was garbage. Basically over reverbed sound. You can turn down the reverb but it still doesnt sound great to me.

60S drums would be even better—Ringo mojo, and I wouldn't have to put the dish towels over the console.

Hey, konradh. The 60s kits are great. Lots of dynamics, lots of articulations, lots of - as you say - Ringo mojo. And, the "tea towel" sounds are particularly good.

b-frog, Thanks for getting that about the towels. I didn't say "tea towels" because I didn't think anyone would understand. You are obviously in the Zone of Cool.

THe Abbey Road drums are nice. You get period correct mics and drums plus a period correct console interface. Just like jumping in the way back machine. I look forward to getting the 70's kit at some point.

Hi Ben, All Midi outputs are set to Kontakt 5. It's just that you set up the Abbey Midi input of your drum kit to channel 10.

I have 60s, 70s, 80s, Modern and the Studio Drummer plugs and love all of them. Amazing flexibility of having all the direct, room mics, OH, mono room and OH. Top and bottom head of snares and In and Out of Kicks. Plus it's easy to multi bounce to separate tracks in Sonar. Open to close Hi hat via CC4. The newest updates (Drummer) has midi grooves and presets of different mixes and FX per channel on kicks, snares, etc.
