Hey, Bill, Absolutely killer sounding smooth jazz jam with lots of excellent, very tasty blues licks thrown in for good measure! I love the creamy clean tone of the guitar, and the rambling bass lines and drums are perfect for the song. Great playing, and I really think the shimmering clean chords at the very end are like the icing on the cake. So good, I had to go for a second listen. Fantastic song, Bill. It always seems like when nothing is planned, that's when a real gem like this one falls out of the sky! Have a great night, Bob

Bill, this is luscious, grabbed me right from the start. What a cool groove, some very tasty playing and the tones are a treat. Splendid stuff. On the downside - there are some nasty clips/overs here and there.. two at 1:05, one at 1:32, and one at 2:30.

Thanks for listening guys! James, I heard that on rewind but it was getting late so I didn't take any time to fix anything. It was clipping especially the bass part. I really need to learn to record over a couple of day instead of a couple of hours.

Hey Bill. This was a great morning listen for me. Nice and mellow, great guitar tone and wonderfully played, as always. Good stuff, man.

Thanks Steve. I'm using that bass I bought for less than $80 a while back when you made the comment that even a cheap bass sounds better than a keyboard. It sounds way better than I expected. P.S. I plan to play with myself as much as possible!

Bill, good to see you. That opening bass lick isn't just tasty, it's delicious. I've long wanted to do a cover of this, and the fact that you do it better won't deter me from eventually going for it. Some really nice guitar licks too. I like it.

At the head I forgot to check my guitar and after I started recording the chord melody thing I realized that the tone control was half on causing it to be too bassy at the beginning. I turned it back while I was playing but it irritates me to hear it. Also the pops from the bass part clipping is annoying too. I'm going to fix all that tomorrow. I love all the Miles "Cool" stuff. I want to do Blue Trane and Song for My Father If I get a chance. Thanks Mark for listening! P.S. I played this with a Slick Pick. It's a thumb pick I found at Stan Hebert's Music shop here in Hammond. You can use it as a flat pick too which makes it possible to switch from thumb to flat picking seamlessly. Opened up some interesting licks I normally wouldn't have played without it. nice it think

Aaaaah yes ----- that is all I could say when I heard this. This is one of my favourite cool jazz songs (what the heck -- favourite songs) ever. You did an absoflippinlutely excellent job on this number and certainly did justice to Miles Davis. I've had two listens already and will be going back for my third when I'm done here. Cool stuff ----- Aaaaah yes! Freddy J
