All For Christ

Well All,

This could be my last posting for a while, as I am presently going through chemotherapy for stage 4 esophageal cancer and don't know how I will be feeling from day to day and want to concentrate on getting my health back. So, you all know by now that I am very much a Christian, mostly a Biblicist have studied the bible almost daily for the past 20+ years, and so this one is for the Lord. He very well may be testing me, or maybe calling me to His loving presence, but no matter the case this one is for His loving work on the cross, for us all. I hope you will enjoy it and sorry about just using loops and samples, but I live in a condo complex and we have rules here that keep me from playing my instruments, plus the fact that I have really bad arthritis doesn't help any. So, enjoy, pray for me and for one another and show love to everyone, everyday.

    John,
Really sorry to learn of your bad news. I'll be praying for you too. :) Yes get well very soon. health is the most important thing.

Really nice to have an upbeat piece of music as your last for a while. I've enjoyed all of your tracks. This once is also enjoyable. It does sound like it's peaking very bad when it turns rocky. but I really like the uplifting feel of this tune.
All the very best with everything.

John. I pray the Lord would lay His healing hands on you and rid you of this ailment. He knows your heart, and knows you have been faithful to Him. He will be faithful as well. For purely selfish reasons, I pray that He restores you to full health so that you can continue to bless us with your wonderful arrangements. Please know that your friends here are thinking of you.

Sounds good John, but the transitions are rough. I hope you can pull through. Watch the movie "Heaven is for real." It's out on DVD now. Also, research injected "vitamin C." There are studies showing its effectiveness against cancer, however since the drug companies can't make money on it, it's soft pedaled...

Great stuff.  I agree with the peaking, but the music pushes thru anyway.
One quick comment...and I'll keep things quiet.  This aint no test or being called home.  The enemy (aka punk) is trying to take you out, since he knows where your heart is at.  God doesn't need a test, cause he knows your heart too and needs you to finish your work here.
Be blessed and let those cancer symptoms go elsewhere.  Prayers from Kentucky.

    Dang...this is great music.

    To All Who Care,
Thank you all very much for your kindness and your prayers, they are very much appreciated. As for the piece, it is a bit out there on volume and some things stand out a bit more than others, so I will have to visit this when I have some time to work on it, but maybe a few weeks. The chemo is going pretty well for me so far and very little bad effects, so I am counting my blessings. I certainly would never wish any of this on anyone, so count your blessings, as well.
There is a lot of great music and musicians in hear and I'm glad to be just a little part of the bigger picture. I have been playing my guitars a little bit, but not up to recording as of yet, but hopefully soon. Just had my 3rd treatment this morning and I wear a metered pump for two days, so they have me pumped up for 3 days constant (oh boy!!). Won't loose my hair, but it could thin out just a tad, maybe! So, I will try and keep you up to date, at least those who are interested.

Again, thank you for your support, love, patience, understanding and most of all your prayers.
Peace and Blessings to you all, John

    Very nice number John!
I am very sorry about your battle with cancer.  I am currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and know how important it is to have a positive attitude that you will beat it.  I will certainly keep you in my prayers.  Your inspirational songs will be missed while you are recovering and I look forward to when you have beaten this thing and are posting again.
All the best and may God bless you.

Freddy, I had no idea of your battle with cancer and so my prayers are with you as well. Stay strong and positive and keep the faith and you will do just fine. God bless you also and get better soon. Maybe when we are both over our cancer we can colab on something exciting.

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers and for enjoying my little contributions. They have been fun creating and I have enjoyed my time sharing them with you all, as well as their intended messages. I am just a sower of seeds, so hopefully someone is out there watering. The increase all belongs to God and so His will be done. I have lived a very good life and so I give all the praise and glory to the One who died for me. I do hope  and seems I have touched a few hearts in this forum, and if I did, I just want you to know it was intentional. It a calling that we are all called to do.

I have enjoyed almost every song I have ever listened to in this forum and just want you all to know there is some very awesome talent going around in here and so keep it all coming and enjoy life while you have it. I am working on beating this cancer thing for now and have to pretty much stay focused on my health, and so that is where my head it at for the time being. I will stop by now and then and post on this thread. I will listen to your music when I feel good but may not feel up to posting but will if I'm able and feeling O.K.

Love, peace and blessings to you all, John

Thanks again for your support, it is very much appreciated. I may have to work on several things while I'm doing these treatments and try to get some of my transitions a little tighter and in some places looser. Than you all for all your critique and encouragement that helps me look a bit deeper into my creations, as it has all helped more than you can imagine in doing each piece. I'm not perfect, but I am however working on it. It is a very slow process though.

Thanks Robbie, The one thing you don't want to do when getting chemotherapy is to mess around with the treatment. You have to let the treatment do what it is designed to do and that is to kill the cancer. I do take lots of vitamins and minerals and herbs, that do not interfere with the treatment. Vitamin C is one of them. I also lift lite weights for toning my body and play racquetball to keep in shape. I also am on a high protein diet with EAS products and consult with my doctors all the time and they are taking good care of me. I just may be able to beat this problem, but without the Lord at the forefront of it all nothing could be possible. His will be done, not mine.

Thank you all for your kind notes. I go for my 4th treatment tomorrow morning, which takes about 5 hours and then I wear a fanny pack home with a pump in it that gives me chemo every 2 minutes for 46 hours, so I will be out of it for most of the week.

Keep making music and peace and blessings, to all, John

Latest update!! Last therapy did not work, but did hold everything at bay and did kill a little of the cancer. Now on new drugs, that are very new (FDA approved in April this year) and specific to my type of cancer. I am the second person in my area to receive this type of therapy and it seem to be working quite nice with little side effects.

I thank you all for your prayers and hope you will continue to pray for me and listen to my music.

God bless each and all of you and keep up the great work with your music endeavors.

    Hi, John,

I must have missed this post way back when, but I'm very sorry to hear about your illness, and I'm sending good thought and prayers your way, and praying for a positive outcome from your treatments, and a speedy recovery.

Great job on the song, John, and please hang in there and always stay positive, my friend!

    Sincere Best Wishes,
    Bob
