All higlighted tracks get the same ICON in "ONE GO"!

All higlighted tracks get the same ICON in "ONE GO"

I'm very surprised that this can't be done with ICONS in SONAR today?
Cakewalk have already add the same kind of feature today when you route multi tracks destination outputs.
In example CONSOLE VIEW:---> Select many tracks and then CTRL + click the  "output" of choice in "ONE GO".

The same feature I want with ICONS.----->

1. Select many tracks and then ALT+click on the ICON.
2. select the ICON of choice and all selected tracks get the same selected ICON in ONE GO.
Today you need to select one ICON on ONE track at the time. Takes to long... bad workflow...

I have already send request...

That's a good idea, seems like an obvious workflow enhancement for those that use icons extensively. +1 here!

Great idea!!! I've wondered this for a while now, and for some reason just got used the the ole way of things, and stopped really taking advantage of the icons. Did you put a feature request in?

Thanks all! Yes I did send it again.
Actually, I already send that feature request on SONAR X1 first release version....nothing has happen yet @ Cakewalk so far?

I would support this, but I have a question (for Cake too): Sometimes, after selecting the tracks whose attributes we want to change, we use CTRL + attribute (e.g. output destination).

Freddie, why do you suggest ALT + ?  And Cake, why is there no standardised way between using ALT and CTRL ?  The same "functionality" seems to be spread across these two keys depending on where you are ... very confusing.

this was something that you could actually do through the menus in sonar 8.5. Not quite as quick as ctrl clicking but still quicker than X1

No, it can be CTRL + click too it doesn't matter.
Today if you ALT +click (default) on a ICON it OPENs the ICONS.

Change ICONS in one go ....Yes I know.. and you can bind the function to a "keycommand" in 8.5 too.
In SONAR X1 they took it all away? I don't know why?... and be able to edit all the colors of the GUI skin

What will happen next? No ICONS and no COLOR settings in SONAR X2?

I actually tried your suggestion in the past just to see if it was implemented in the new quick groups type of workflow.

Hook this up with viewable track icons in the browser and you've got a winner.

That would be cool as well. Veiw the icons in the browser.
