All the talk about Sonar forgets one thing
We have seen enormous changes in the last few months. It has been a huge ride. From despair to hope to an outcome that may turn out to be everything we could want. We have Menge to thank for keeping the dream alive. However there is another that if he hadn't worked day and night non stop none of this would have happened. Noel Borthwick is the man that did not give up. I don't know how he did it but it needs to said we owe him a great deal. This is in keeping with what he has routinely done through out the years he has been with CW. How many times has he posted here to clear up a misunderstanding or to simply help another user? Countless times is the answer I get. All the recent speculations forget that Noel is still with us and I believe as long as he is we have nothing to worry about. Thank you Noel Edit to add. I'm sorry I forgot what this is really all about and some of you may not know it. I got so hung up with what he has done all the time he has been with us I forgot the real purpose of this post. He is the one that got the deal done. He never stopped trying to find a buyer. With his credentials he could write his own ticket nearly anywhere. Instead he did not give up. He found a darn good buyer and Sonar will live on. That is the real story you all need to know. Please forgive my lapse.

Agreed ( for once ) to be seen fair to others that have had their threads banished, and at the very least for the sake of consistency and to avoid the appearance of hypocrisy, this thread should be moved.

I don't think so. Coffee house isn't suitable. This shouldt be emphasized. Cheers

No, it is not consistent with the Hosts own words and actions, it should be moved, it is just gratuitous butt kissing. Whats good for one is good for the other. It's hypocrisy pure and simple.

I don't believe that this thread should be anywhere else. It is very topical. Also there is no hypocrisy. It is in keeping with the hello from Meng. However I am sorry that we have descent.

Please re-read the OP. It WAS posted by a forum host. It is relevant to Sonar, and not just some random off-topic blabbering. Sonar posts don't need to always be 'technical', just of interest to the Sonar community. If Noel has made a contribution to the continuing future of Sonar, then we should thank him.

I'm happy with this post right where it is. In all the years I've been using this forum I have never been to the Coffee House. I don't think I'm unique in that. If it were posted there, I and many others may have missed the opportunity to recognize and thank Noel for his truly important, bordering on heroic, efforts to save this product. Thank you Noel!

Best answer yet. It's great that Noel is still involved and needs to be acknowleged and celebrated but is it really necessary here, as we wait to see what comes of the new company and it's product. It's premature and off topic as to whether the kudos would be deserved at this point. As far as Noel's past performance that is left to the opinion of those who wish to express it or have expressed in past threads or PM's to him directly or has been suggested in an appropriate subforum. I'm with ampfixer on this one.
