All this talk about X1 is giving me a headache ... see you folks again when X2 is released

Wow ..... all this discussion over X1 has given me a headache and sucked me into too much time wasted on the Forum sharing comments and experiences.

I don't recall any new release from Cakewalk creating this much negativity among existing customers.
But I share some of the empty feelings and lack of enthusiasm from what I have seen so far.

My mind is 100% made up now.

I am staying with my rock solid, glitch free, faithful and reliable SONAR 8.3 for now.

I am going to totally skip the growing pains that are sure to accompany the "birth of X1" and stay on the sidelines until this new series has had a chance to mature and get ironed out.

I have faith Cakewalk will have the new SONAR X-series DAW better refined in a year's time ....... and HOPEFULLY, they will also be able to revamp the visual appearance of the interface and move away from X1's  horribly bad clone of the gray and blue monochromatic CGA-style  "Presonus Studio One" look.
Yuk !

Good luck to all of you, and worry not -- I have been a SONAR user since SONAR 3.0  (when I left the analog tape world) and will continue to be a SONAR user.
But X1 is not for me at this point in time.
Where there is smoke, there is fire.
I don't have the time to get burnt when I have a current system that has NEVER crashed or let me down yet.
No sense to tempt fate when I don't have to.

Change CAN be good ---- but it is not always good by default. (smile)

See you guys next year when X2 or X3 is released.

Bye for now.

Hasn't somebody just done this one?

    -1 for originality.

Maybe we can consolidate all the 'I'm outta here' threads into one....

.... but then that may remove some of the attention craving required by a forum suicide.

See if you can upgrade to 8.5. It is the best Sonar and I'm afraid it will always be.

-100.  My turn to complain about a lame post - Yours Jonbouy.  Mike has the right to speak for himself without stopping himself from posting just because other disillusioned Sonar users have come to the same conclusion.

hehe--Maybe that'll work. - I enjoy your posts, Jonbouy, this one just irritated me and I decided to say it did.  it seems like such an unnecessary put down when Mike was just telling his how he feels about X1.  He should be able to say that without being told that he should shut up since other people have already said how They can't go with X1 - as if how They feel has anything specifically to do with the way he feels.  Every person who feels moved to post they they Love X1 and everyone who wants to post how they Hate X1 should feel free to post.

Never did I interrupt his decision to post, stay, leave or otherwise choose freely for himself.

I just observe and feel moved to stay silent or post too.

My head ain't all exploded about this software lark, I don't then appear to have a problem.

I dunno, I think all the people posting their feelings is great. Some exceptions:

-Personal attacks. Can't say for certain I'm immune, but I do try. I think some try less?
-"I'm superior/you don't count" bull. Really upset about this one and it's reared it's ugly head here just a bit. As the Countess Maybelle once said "please gawd, make it stop!"

I'll leave all the others as subjective and leave the choice of stay/go/complain/praise/etc to the individual.
