Allow more row expansion options in step sequencer

At the moment Step sequencer allows anly one row to be expanded at a time. clicking on expanding another row causes the previous to close. Can we have an option, say holding CTRL when expanding a row, so it expands one whilst keeping the previous open.
 
When programming a hi hat line, you'd quite often use 3 hi hat multisamples, such as closed, open and foot closed. You'd want to edit the velocities of the one line across 3 rows at the same time. Or the timing offsets of each.
 
It would also be nice to be able to view Velocities and timing offsets at the same time. So could pressing CTRL on and already expanded row, add another expansion.
 
Most of us have the screen real estate for this stuff nowadays
