Rikkie, that sounds like quite a challenge, but I think you pulled it off. I used to try things like that until arthritis made me change musical genres. As always, your recording makes it sound like you're right next to me in the room. In many ways, you're on of the leaders of the pack when it comes to good acoustic music, so stay cookin.

excellent. actually i don't mind that i can hear your breaths...it adds a certain living quality to the over piece and is indicative of your concentration as their is this sub-rhythm to them that oscillates through the elasticity of the guitar phrases

Hi Andy, thanks, reverb is fake ; ). Actually it's two reverbs, a short reverb as a. insert and a long reverb as a send. Hi Reece, cool , thanks. Well, I have to breath sometimes, ; ) Dulled down the whistling noise a bit, what remains is pure expression : ) Rik

Very nice! I've never heard this version of it. I learned this song just so I could slide my finger up to the b harmonic above the 12th fret during the major section (you left it out). My favorite to play was Choro no. 1. Villa was an amazing guitarist!!! Well done!

Hi Robert, thanks for listening, since I can't read music, I did this by ear and just made it up as I went along, sorry Mr.Villa-Lobos ; ) I always feel a bit of a fraud doing this type of thing, not bothering to learn to play a piece like this properly, if I ever have the time I will, probably, almost certain, well..........don't hold your breath ; ) Rik

If you did that by ear then I have to give you even more kudos. I have a hard time reading music anymore. That's one reason I stopped playing classical. The other is I just can't sit like that anymore. If you have Guitar Pro PM me and I can send you the file I have. I'm just listening to it now and it sound right but I would have to check it against my book (which I have no idea where it is). lol!

Hi Janet, it's a guitarists thing, so don't worry ; ) Glad my playing amazes you : ) Hi Robert, I'm even terrible at reading tab ; ) Seriously, even if I've got the tab of a piece I want to play, the fingering never works for me so I end up playing by ear anyway. And what I can't figure out I just improvise. Being self-taught can be a disadvantage but it does train your ears. ; ) I balance the lower bout of the guitar on my right leg, like the old time flamenco players do. Much more comfortable. Rik

Nice clean playing. I have never heard the original. Just wondering...Are the hestitations supposed to be in there between chord changes? BTW, I didn't hear the breathing either, just pure, sweet guitar.

Hi Scott, thanks for listening. Actually those hesitations make this piece interesting to me, I've heard people play them much longer, more emphasis on the bass notes. Rik
