Alone Again
This one took awhile to make because I had a melody that sounded lonely and I liked the way those words " Alone Again" fit. I couldn't figure out why the person in the song was lonely so I made the lyrics a kind of generic thing about anyone who is missing their loved one. The lyric ended up being very basic....as is the entire song. I tried stretching this to a set time for drums but it just didn't seem to be working. I could hear drums in it. Ok without too I guess. https://soundcloud.com/starise/alone-again

I really liked the spacing of the different instruments in the mix - lots of depth to my ears. It's a good song - works fine without drums. Nice job on lead vox too.

Naiz juan Tim. Agree with Doug, doesn't "NEED" drums. Kind of cool mixture of Zeppish and Ian Annerson to me.

That was really good, Tim. It has your usual Celtic/acoustic flair but with a bit something more... Reading the comments on SC I think it was a good move to dry up the vocals a little - they set against the more ambient music quite well. Oh, and the vocals themselves sound very good.

You posted this earlier I believe? If so, it sounds better now. Vocals pop out, and it's a very strong performance. Don't need the drums. Did I reference Peter Gabriel last time? Your song is 100% emotion and it works. It's a seriously good mix. Liked the synth cello bass thing that fills up the bottom end in spots. cheers, -Tom

sorry I missed this first time around Tim. This is great - definitely no drums - it works as it is imo. If you really want suggestions, maybe some backing vocals/vocal harmonies coming in later in the song?
