Alternate Sidechain methods ???

There only seems to be two or three plugins (Sonitus) that offer Sidechain.  I would like to side chain some of the other plugins (UAD) I have.   Maybe through patchpoints and/or Aux tracks?  I have been trying this and I just can't seem to wrap my head around the routing to enable sidechaining using these methods.  Not sure if it is possible.

Does anyone know of an alternate method of sidechaining if the plugin does not offer it within Sonar Platinum?

Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

For sidechaning, you need two distinct inputs: one for the signal to be processed, and one for the signal that controls how the first signal is processed. If the plugin doesn't offer two inputs (or Sonar doesn't detect the side input), side chaining is not possible.

    The CA-2A also offers sidechaining.

LP MB is pacifying me for now.  I'm liking side chaining with this because it is multiband.  I'm able to dial in the frequencies I want to duck.  It is sounding pretty good on Bass/Kick.

What specific task are you hoping to accomplish that the Sonitus compressor or gate can't do?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Also, the PC4K S-Type Bus Compressor seldom works. I haven't pin pointed the cause but it works on some of my projects and others not.  Maybe some combo of plugins is causing the issue.

I was going to recommend this:
    ProChannel PC4K S-Type Expander Gate

But if the PC4K Compressor doesn't work well for you, then maybe not.
