Darn Bill, What a beautiful piece of guitar work! We all should do some sort of anthology of that song. Great execution, nice slow, moving, simply wonderful. Question: I've never used the e-bow. Can it be used on an acoustic/electric?

kayehl, Reece, Nick, Larry, Ed, James, ohgrant, Kenny, Randy, theguitarplayer, Thanks for the listen everybody. Glad you enjoyed it. :-) ORIGINAL: lhansen Question: I've never used the e-bow. Can it be used on an acoustic/electric? Larry, I think the e-bow works by generating an alternating magnetic field so you can use it on any type of stringed instrument as long as the strings contain enough metal to be affected by the magnetic field. I've used it on acoustic guitar with brass wound strings, no problem. Some people use it on bass too but it can take a while to get those large bass strings moving. I don't think it would work for nylon strings unless the strings were metal wrapped, and then only if there is enough metal to react to the magnetic field. (Have not tried that myself). ORIGINAL: rsp@odyssey.net Okay, tomorrow's cover assignment : Abbey Road/Side One. Get to work gents! LOL .. If I tried something like this it might be better called "Shabby Road" :-) ORIGINAL: ohgrant I was wanting to request Swing Low Sweet Chariot.
