+1 on a happy tone.

I played basketball briefly in England and Ireland on a touring team long ago, and still remember wandering around Soho at 3 in the morning, finding great delight in there being 24-hour Chinese restaurants there.

The only drawback in all of that was the sheer number of drunks teetering about, and then there was the guy who kept wanting to know if I was 'Jolly' - I politely declined to copulate, but he still got mad for some reason.  And there was like a thousand mini drivers all wanting to have me use their taxi's to go to where the girls are.

Great fun, Soho.

In the midst of the confusion between Yanks and Brits on the proper use of the English language, I keep waiting for someone from down under to stand up and shout, "Crikey!  Shut ya gob, ya bloody wombats!"

Of course, we'll need to use the babelfish translator to understand them.

LMAO, been there.
I had a bass player so drunk one time that he was looking at me laughing while walking backwards.
All of a sudden the bass stopped.....He backed himself right off the stage, about 3 feet up lol and ouch.
He broke his elbow.

When we heard the recordings we burnt them lol.

That's just being a bassist.  Falling down is part of the show.  You could think of it as accidental stage diving.

It reads

I'm usually up, Roy. I had a show last night though, so I didn't get in until 4 am, was "knackered" and pretty "pisssed" drunk. (I'm 5 hours behind you on the East Coast in New Jersey) My birthday is this coming Wednesday, so we sort of celebrated early on stage last night. We sure thought we sounded good....but I'd be willing to bet the fan cell phone vids will make us cringe today.

Would that be the Van Halen tribute band ? If so, please tell me you're called Dan Halen. If  not, please change the name to that, there's a good chap, what, what !

Oh and Happy Birthday for Wednesday you big girl's blouse ! ;) Will you be old enough to know better ?
