Amplitube 3, poor quality compared to standalone

Hi

Should I get the same quality with Amplitube3 VST in X2 as I do standalone?  When routed into X2 the sound is way way off standalone, not just low input but like its a different DLL. (it isn't is it?)

1 audio track
Same quality settings
Same ASIO
VST 64bit
Amplitube 3.9 2-19

No comparison...

Anyone else?

Interestingly enough...I haven't used Amplitube 3.9 in X2 yet...I just got it in the Total Studio
Bundle (which was a STEAL - Krazy good deal)
I will have to check it out and let you know...

You should try to put your track in stereo. I guess that you route your guitar through one mono track and then add Amplitude on your it as an effect. Then if it's the case you have a mono Amplitude. Force the track to be stereo and it should change your life :)

    Yay

Un-tick "Enable mono processing" in AT3 VST plug in properties.

    Then very sweet.

I have to say Amplitube is fast becoming my favorite guitar amp sim, especially for crunchy blues/rock sounds. I spend far less time fiddling with it than I do with GR5 or TH2 anyway.

Have to agree. And I'm only using  Amplitude free!

Even the free version is brilliant. Everyone should have this plug at their disposal. Did I say it's free?

Compared to GR it just sounds better to me. TH2, which I have had a small tinker with, seems closer to AT3

i thought this was the correct setup if you wanted amplitube to understand the imput signal was mono, and coming from one side of the stereo inputs.

I thought it did not affect the ability for amplitube to then be used in setreo on a track (when used in stereo mode: 2 amps routing, on a stereo track)

I'd really like to understand that.

    advice much apreciated,

    Cheers,
