Amplitube 4, standalone mode: What is the # for?

Amplitube 4 in standalone mode: (this question only refers to standalone mode, not vst plug-in mode).
version 4.1.0

On the Transport Bar, between the track view button and the red record button there is a #.
When I click the # it gets grayed-out but doesn't seem to do anything.
Anybody know what it is for?
I looked in the manual but it is not mentioned or shown in the screen dump.

Yep..it's "Snap to Grid" when in the recorder section when moving recorded sections
in the track view.
