So, I demoed the Orange Collection for 72 hrs and ended up buying it this morning. I think I am slowly becoming an Amplitube fan. I was able to coaks some really nice bluesy crunch tones out of several of the Orange amp selections. In particular, the OR 50 and the AD 30. I think a blues song is going to have to be next on my list to write and record. I demoed a few other amps as well. I am not really a metal guy, but I put most of the Metal Collection amps through a hardy test as well. The 5150 sounded nice. Not sure if the JMP Vintage Marshall was in the Metal Collection, but I really liked this amp. The Solando might have been the best out of all the amps I demoed, but it didn't appear to be part of any of the collections that were on sale. I may end up having to get the Vintage Marshall and the Solando ala carte at some point, they were really nice. I have heard that the Ampeg bass amps are really good as well. I am afraid to try them. Hopefully I can leave that alone until the next Ampeg sale.

Ampeg SVX is what I use. I think it's great. It was on sell a few weeks back for $39. Amplitube has been my favorite so far.

Thanks for the AmpliTube love guys!
The Soldano is still a relatively new amp compared to AmpliTube Metal. AmpliTube Metal was created before the Custom Shop and the Soldano/Jet City amps weren't added til after. Ampeg SVX and the Fender Bassmans are my to go amps for bass. Its great to have soo many to choose from in the custom shop.

Obi, it is nice to have the option of buying amps and cabinets one at a time, but obviously the collections or bundles are a better use of ones dollars. I would love to see the Soldano bundled with the Jet City's, maybe a few effects to make it a better buy.

I have bought mics and a few non-Amplitube 3 effects in the custom shop, but waiting until a collection is on sale is the way to go. I highly recommend the Fender and Ampeg collections.

Yes, the Fender is great as well. I had grabbed that a few weeks ago on summer sale. I fought off the GAS to buy the Hendrix Collection; but lost the battle on the Orange.

I really like the Orange bass amp in Amplitube and use it more than the Ampeg stuff, for VSTi basses such as the Scarbee and Orange Tree products.

That is a good point, but you also have to remember we are constantly adding stuff to the Custom Shop. Even if we did, we'd probably want to release more to have more choices to build these bundles with. Not to mention the other company's we've been working with that haven't been released yet... clintmartin I have bought mics and a few non-Amplitube 3 effects in the custom shop, but waiting until a collection is on sale is the way to go. The Ampeg and Fender collections were my first AmpliTube products and I fell in love. I remember playing for 3 hours and not getting past the first amp's presets! Tone heaven! I've used the Orange cabs a LOT on other guitar amps, but haven't given the bass amps a fair run in mixes yet. I'll have to try those out next.
