Amplitube tempo sync + X2 = no support?

Hi all,

I'm trying to get Amplitube (3)'s tempo sync to work with X2 but cannot.  I can only tap the tempo into Amplitube, it doesn't grab it from the host.  Amplitube cannot be added as a soft synth, only as a plugin.  I've configured it to run as a tempo based effect, still won't work.

It's pretty much a sure bet someone on here is using Amplitube 3 and X2... (?).

Living up to my username, I installed X2a and at least now if I add amplitube as a FX, open it, configure it as a tempo based effect (not selected even though it's configured in the primary Cakewalk VST/plugins menu), then delete it and re-add it the tempo is now sync'd.  Not ideal but at least it's working.  This wouldn't even happen prior to updating to X2a.

Do you have the latest version of AmpliTube? It was squirrely with Sonar for a few revs.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!
