Brown sound. Now there's a description of how I'd wish my amp sim would sing.

I doubt any amp sim can really get that "Brown Sound"........Eddie is Eddie and his rigged system just moved a lot of "air".

I have scuffham, guitar rig 5,ampltube3 ( fender,Hendrix,Slash) and bias fx pro.
Not so much into heavy metal these days but still like to play Eddie Van Halen's Eruption(my favourite all time solo) as a warm up.
I found Bias fx gets a great tone for this!(from cloud preset)

My favorite band (early VH). I also have Bias Fx Pro (my new favourite goto sim)......could you please share the cloud preset for that VH tone (or any others that are similar)?
I just love that brown sound, but yet to find a sim that gets close to it.

The preset was "lambchopper - eruption ", I have just added the orange phaser and tweaked a bit and sounds good to my ears and through my system.
If I find anything better, I will let you know.

Line-6 will be releasing Helix Native (I believe in Feb).
All the DSP processing from Helix... in a VST plugin.
Anyone looking at amp-sim plugins should check it out.
Helix hardware is fantastic...

Yeah, Jim     I have been thinking about that and mentioned it, here. When I saw the release notice, I got very interested, as $350 is way "closer", than $1500 for the "pedal". I can see the advantage of either or both!
