Amsterdam?
Any of my fellow Sonarites in Amsterdam? I just arrived and will be heading out to enjoy the sites after a few more zzzzs. I walked right past a totally naked model who was walking down the middle of the street. I think i might like it here. ;)

My knowledge is a bit dated (1981), but watch out for people asking if you want to go to the Milky Way (a hashish bar) and don't get lost in the red-light district! Oh, but go on a tour of the Heineken brewery if you can! That was fun.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I've visited Amsterdam a few times... great city, and not just for the red light. Get out and see as much as you can outside of that one mile magnet (although that can be fun too). There are a couple of great music stores that I recall - one just south of the city core... I believe it's on Vijzelstraat and another within the core with some great vintage gear - not far from the train station IIRC. Last time I was there I stayed at a hotel in Rembrandt Square just south of the core which is a pretty vibrant little area on it's own - as is the area that encompasses the hard rock cafe to the south west of the core. Heed way to the cyclists, and have fun!

The red light district at night makes our own Bourbon Street look like a middle school field trip.
I'm heading out today for Edinburgh Scotland. I am happy to say I am leaving with my dignity intact!

My roommate is a big Man-U fan and we have football going in the background most of every day. I don't have any real favorite team (though I do support the Portland Timbers and the US National teams), but I think Man-U definitely improved itself by getting rid of Fail-Cow and adding Schweinsteiger. Now the only question is whether de Gea will stay with the team or not - the weirdness at the end of the season seems to indicate not, but who knows? On an individual basis, I'm definitely a fan of Harry Kane. What setups and finishes! Seems like he's always in the right place, plays for his childhood favorite team and doesn't seem to have the pompous attitude that so many of the best have.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

Hi, Weird ... a place that also has great music ... can only be discussed for some pulchritude, and some drinking ... and some drugging. Oh well, goes to show you how much interest there is in music around the world! You go get the ___ that you can't get at home! AND drink real booze, instead of watery pistle! Nice reason for a trip!

Judge much?
I distinctly noted a lack of any live music at all, much to my disappointment.
Perhaps in the future you could offer constructive advice, such as places to go for live music?
