An idea for Sonar

A an app for our mobile devices as a transport control.
When I mix I like to listen from different areas in the room. One could even be in a live room and hit record, stop or what ever.
Good idea, yea or nay?

Nice! And it should work with my Nexus. Thanks for posting this, dubdisciple.

As it turns out, rtpMIDI seems to be for Apple iXXXXX only. Thanks, but no thanks.

Not true, it works on Android as well. I have it running here, it just uses Bonjour to communicate via rtp over Midi...

Never the less, works fine on Android

Yup I use rtpMID (PC/Android), if you aren't using the controller though (Android device) it should be disabled.

There's a lot more happening with TouchDAW than stop start record. This is a viable controller.
You can wave it about to produce sounds assuming your phone supports it (just don't drop it in the toilet), play piano, and adjust faders on it.

    Remote control plugins, sends, whatever...
Jean Michel Jarre's got one for his one man pub tour I'm told (j/k).

    Harsh no ?

I consider myself lucky. So what happened to you then ?

I use my iPad with V-Control, with its V-Window you can even control the multi-dock and VST's. Whats so iCrap about that ?

Each to his own........ I guess.

Hey Alex, i personnaly find rtpMidi a pain in the proverbial to set up. It seems to work ok with AC7, but the latency ......... I must look at touch DAW.

    Cheers,
    Jerry

I have an iPad with V-Control too and I like it. I just have a love/hate relationship with Apple. It was meant to be tongue in cheek anyway.

I don't know if Lemur is still on sale but they have an awesome template called LiveControl 2.0 that they made themselves. It's incredible.
And on top, someone made a copy of the "Push" hardware that's available as a template called "Shove".

i'm using the LiveControl v1 template in touchosc at the mo, working well, if a little convoluted to set up :)
