An original Pug tune for Dan Barnes. (FULL VERSION)
We recorded this last year - it features Eva (Warren's sister) and Warren on vocals. These two can really sing. TAHITI SURPRISE

No kidding...they can sing. Wow!!! I thought I heard a tiny bit of noise before the first guitar note came in. Not a deal-breaker, though. Lovely, intimate playing and singing. Well, maybe not so intimate with the lead guitar, but it's all quite nice. ;)

Lovely duet. Great mood. Sexy lead. What is this sand you speak of, and where can I find me some? Less is more and is applied very effectively in this song. Very nice production. Bravo to all!

Nice song, they can really sing. At first I thought you were calling this a "pop" tune. Then I realized I can't read and it's a "pug" tune. Not sure what that is though, lol

Great vocals! The acoustic guitar feels a little strange to me, I can't quite put my finger on it. Almost seems like it's just coming in and out of the mix. Maybe a noise-gate type thing? Overall, sounds really good though!

Well, Mark, you must be bored posting old tunes! LOL. I like this version better because I got to play the acoustic lead at the end. First acoustic and lead I've played since the first song I posted here 2.5 years ago. Remember, I had to beg you to let me "come out and play"! Ha. Eva sure was nice on this one. Gosh, it's been a long time! http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=8545376 Tahiti Sunrise (Surprise,LOL)

Didn't catch this first time around - my loss! gorgeous song, beautifully sung. Warren and Eva have that unique sibling harmony quality, just wonderful. I thought the lead guitar was excellent, just the right tone and mood, but a little loud. The outro guitar was a bit too 'DI-d' in sound for my taste, but still nice. James

Nice vocals, with some tasty harmonies. Reverb tail a titch long for me, but a minor nit. Lead a little hot. Overall a real nice vibe. The fadeout/ending wasn't very smooth. Randy

The original version of this had more instruments. I just stripped out everything except the acoustic guitar - vocals and the lead guitar - I probably should have spent a bit more time trying to balance this tune. Thanks for taking a listen.

Lovely, lovely song. I think this is the first time I've heard Eva sing, and wow, she sounds great on this. And that old guy Warren,, he wasn't half bad either . Very nice harmonies, and a nice open ccomplimentary track made this a very pleasurable listen for me.

Hey, Mark, How's it going, buddy? I remember this one from a while back, and it still sounds as pretty as ever today! Wondeful writing, amazing performances by the three of you, and the production work is absolutely stellar. I really love the pristine tone of the guitars and the tasty solos, the smooth, fluidity of the bass work, and Eva and Warren's vocals are absolutely perfect together. Listening to this is like a relaxing day at the beach. Thanks for posting it, have a good one! Bob

It's nice, I might have gone for a cleaner electric lead tone, and I would pull it back a hair. The acoustic lead seemed to fit very nicely. And maybe a couple of bells for the ship feel when the verse was singing about the ship :-) I didn't like the way it cut off at the end :-( And the singers may could be a tiny bit drier.
