And MY stuff on Soundclick!

I've used SONAR and Cakewalk since Cakewalk Home Studio 6 ( a few years, now!), and I can't believe I haven't actually ever logged into this forum!!

I have many songs available at soundclick.com, and at various links thru my myspace page.

http://www.soundclick.com/dimaensionx
http://www.myspace.com/dimaensionx

ALL have been done with either Cakewalk or SONAR, ... nothing else seems to add up for simplicity and features for the price.

My most recent songs posted are a bunch of Frank Zappa cover tunes! Please let me know what you think.

Thanx,
Dimaension X

Holy guacamole - 55 songs up there. At my current rate of output I'll catch up to you in 2015. Ever think about growing Zappa 'stache and taking your act to Vegas? I'll bet Flo and Eddie are looking for work.

Seriously, tackling Zappa is not for lightweights, I for one am impressed. Plus, you hardly ever hear the word "weasel" used in rock titles or lyrics anymore, which is a shame.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Listening to your tune Orange/Truck/Weasel (too lazy to type it all out). Exceptional playing and production man! You took me back to the land that time forgot where everything was chemically induced. One of the best tunes I've heard in a long time. Thanks for posting this!

Hey, thanx, fellas, ... yeah the EZ Drummer sounds great, and works great with edrums, which I actually played on "OCTL" and "B&P Napkins". Granted I turned the tempo down a bit to record the drums as MIDI, but I did really play the drums.

There's really a lot of talented folks on this forum. Hey, check out the forum at Toontrack.com if you get the chance, ... try to find the songs by a guy named "Jacker", ... wait, here's the link:

    http://fr.audiofanzine.com/compos/titres/index,idmembre,70233.html

His album, "The Devil Inside" is there for free, along with a bunch of singles, Led Zep covers, etc. This guy is real good.

Thanx again, and I'll be sure to check out as many folks here in the SONAR forum!

Great job on the Zappa stuff. Leprosia Rises is terrific. Tell me that was a real drummer! I'm sure I'll listen to some other stuff later. Excellent work.

Thanks again for all the comments, ... I really had a lot of fun figuring out both versions of "Orange County Lumber Truck" -

Sad news to "mcourter": "Leprosia Rises" is mostly programmed drums, but a few sections here and there were played by hand from a MIDI Keyboard controller. I really only just got started in the past month recording with my MIDI edrum-kit. Until now my drumming totally sucked. And believe me, I still turn the tempo down a bit in SONAR and do some tweaking afterwards - but hey, if Andy Sneap does it, why can't I??

    Many thanx again,

The fact that it wasn't a real drummer might be all the more impressive, cuz that was one badass track.

    mcourter!!

You gotta look into EZ Drummer. It sounds like I'm a total toontrack whore, but they really are great samples, and once the software is properly installed, it's very easy to use. Very realistic drums, and excellent pre-programmed loops too (which I actually did NOT use in that track)

I guess BFD drum samples are pretty good too. Also, the FPC drum sampler in FL Studio (Fruity Loops) comes with some very good samples. The better the drum sample, the more realistic your programming will sound.
