Or, you could do the logical thing... and get this RND Poritico 5033 Emulation for $39 http://www.ddmf.eu/product.php?id=2 Unless you just absolutely HAVE to have the licensed version...

I tried the DDMF Demo...it's really nice... You can get the entire DDMF EQ Bundle for $79 or the Entire Effects Bundle for $149 Their products are decent...and extremely inexpensive...

The Stienberg/Portico is nice. The comp sounds really good and is close to the hardware. But I had the demo and didn't buy. If I had it I would use it a lot, but I couldn't justify the price. @

I guess so. Metz, I own the DDMF one. It's nice, though I only used it once or twice after I bought it. Personally, I'm seeing less and less need - if any - to use anything but the EQ that came bundled w/ my DAW. If I'm starting to waste time trying a bunch of different EQ's, the issue is usually related to me, and it has little to do w/ the EQ if anything.

I wouldn't mind trading in all my decent and extremely inexpensive plugs for this bundle.

Hi Rain You know I agree with you - I tend to use the eq / compressor I'm easiest with and that gets me what I feel are the best sounding results - perhaps other eqs etc maybe technically better, but if you know how to set up one make in particular and you get comfortable with that, you probably personally get the best results from that one, if you see what I mean. After my recent issues w/ the eLicenser and Arturia products, I'm really not sure if the eLicenser is much better than an actual dongle.

Strinkinglyhandsome Thanks and yes the Revalver is sort of interesting - the Mix Control is something I have and use all the time - one of those software eq / compressors / gates / saturation plug ins which I know really well and am very happy with what I get from it - see above post! I actually wrote to Peavy and had a little moan about their upgrade structures for us "old" Alien Connections owners of Revalver - they say they had a cheapish upgrade path sometime in the past, but I don't remember ever seeing it - so I told them they were FAR too expensive and they should be more sensible re pricing - do a group buy or something - they eventually said, well not now but perhaps in the future. We shall see. The software does sound good but I feel is overpriced, especially their upgrade prices. If only these people would look at what some other people are doing - like Steve at Hollow Sun - I bet he's doing better since he lowered his prices - if he wasn't I'm sure he'd put them up again!
