I like the fact that you stayed true to the original yet added some more cool things. I like it. :)

This would be perfect with a Bass guitar moving around and sliding in the back ground. But drums would be a must ever so slightly and also sounding out loud at times. You know this, I'm sure. Send me an .mp3 and I'd like to try. With guitar also. This is probably too good for me to mess around with. But I'd love to just have some fun playing around with it. Whatever the case. YOUR AWESOME ROBBY!!!! On everything on this one!!!

Janet I like the fact that you stayed true to the original yet added some more cool things. I like it. :) Thanks Janet, yes if you A/B this with my original version from back in the day (on tape) it's the same song, but with a completely different presentation being all orchestra :-) Thanks for listening and for commenting!

About halfway through listening... have to comment - the orchestra is suiting this really well. I haven't listened to the original so don't know how it compares, but it reminds of an album I owned a long time ago where Mike Batt and Justin Hayward did orchestrally arranged versions of rock classics. Possibly the only thing I might add to the mix would be some orchestral toms to give a better sense of rhythm in some of the louder bits. You've done a really great job with the orchestra. Cheers, Terry.

Robby, Nice job on the orchestration. Nice movement. I agree with the previous poster that a little drums/percussion would be OK but really nice work. Regards

CLEAN Pretty nice - I like this. Thanks Mark, it was my 1st mix, I may revisit, and I'm really fighting the urge to go back in and add the guitars bass and drums... :-)

Thanks Robert for confirming my feelings on this. I wanted to try to make it something (an orchestra number) when it wants to be something else...

Hi Robby, I love this song and your vocal. I like the orchestration and am not really missing bass, drums and guitar. You've got what...48 songs on Reverbnation? All with the bass, drums...etc, format? Why not have one that's all orchestra? Just a thought.

The orchestration is really interesting. There are a lot of really great stuff going on in there. I think you experimented a tad too much. I'd like to hear this one without the vocals... since there's so much going on it's really hard for the listener to concentrate on the vocals and the orchestra at the same time. I think you have two really good things going here which together are too much. Either way I think there is a lot of great stuff in it.

I had to think about this a bit and then realized that you really could do both. The basic song really would be best expressed with your standard singing / guitar / bass etc.. but then go off on a really nice orchestrated bridge and then come back with the chorus at the the end with the orchestration.

Although I do hear a larger/wider and deeper sounding piano alongside your vocals during the intro (and a tad more pedal work), the piano partition works very well when the arrangement gets busier. Very well done on this also (the arrangement). I particularly enjoyed the harp (amongts many very effective orchestral sprinkles of color). Musical'ish genre? Is this something you're interested in? Overall, this was a most enjoyable listen (more than once). Sounds very good in the cans and I will certainly take the time to have a listen... or two on the speakers. Bravo!

the orchestral parts themselves work very well, and it is an excellent tune, only thing is the actual 'soundscape' sounds a bit artificial, there's no sense of depth or spatial separation with the orchestral parts, ie it never sounds like you are in a big theatre with all those instruments. i dunno if you can look at panning, verb etc on each instrument, but i feel that is what it is missing to take it from 'excellent' to 'outstanding'.

An orchestration (being a combo guy, I had to look up the word in the dictionary) --- aren't you ambitious. And didn't your ambition turn out well? I am not competent enough to comment on the technical aspects -- all I know is that is sounded great to me. Freddy J

Nicely done! You may consider getting better string synths.

Seems like a challenging song to sing. Is this in the right key for your vocals? It seems a little out of your comfort zone. It definitely shows that you put a lot of work into that orchestration. It is a nice change of pace for you. Oh, and that waveform is pretty sexy.

And your vocal sounds weird totally dry with all the classical elements around it. vechung Nicely done! You may consider getting better string synths. Robby, don't you have East/West? If so, there ain't nuthin better than them. But I see what Vicente is saying. The articulations seem all off.
