My assumption would be TH2 Producer, as that it the Amp sim included with Sonar...
    But what do I know?

I thought so too Larry. But when I inserted one it had a different skin. Is that something you can do with FX chains? Change the back ground of the buttons?

"Anderton FX Chain Collection" is a separate download in the Command Center all the way at the bottom of the Sonar Platinum list.
    Maybe you didn't download it?

Yes, the launch was a bit confusing. The release to the first 200 people was pushed up from the original date, and the prototype sims were in there, not the finished ones. So Cakewalk removed the amps from the installer as soon as I found out. If you tried to install during that time, you couldn't.

Then Cakewalk realized I was going to be a pain in the -- I mean, coming up with lots of cool new stuff -- so they put my effects and amps into their very own installer to allow for frequent additions and updates. The wisdom of that decision became clear when I sent the screen shot for the acoustic guitar amp I'm finishing up...

So call up Command Center, and if you unfold the SONAR folder, you should see "Anderton FX Chain Collection" toward the very bottom, just below SONAR Help and Tutorials. Click on it and Install.

Note that for these to work, all the stock FX that come with SONAR need to be installed because various elements are all jumbled together into an incredibly dense and sometimes scary collection of DSP.

TH2 is one of the elements that's involved in creating the amps, but it's just part of the picture. As to the skinning, yes this is something you can do with existing FX chains and frankly, I'm pretty proud of the artwork. Some of the knobs even change color when you rotate them.

I think my favorite skin is the Warped Record emulator in the DJ folder in the Anderton Collection. Try turning the knob...

Oooohhhhhh but the sound, really sweet :) I have TH2 full, S-Gear, Revalver, All Studio Devil, AmpLion, Amplitube and Guitar Rig, plus various freebies, and I can see myself using Mr Andertons stuff without a doubt.  I don't mind the look, looks fine, functional and all that, and after all, it's an audio plugin/effects chain, and they do sound sweet :)

Ha found it and as with jih64 they are soooo good. Guitar Rig 5 could be taking a rest for a while. Thanks for those Mr Anderson I had you figured as the fast shooting, troll hunting, thread removal and locking Sherrif around here but after using these you have just almost become Godlike in my eyes.

Please take the above as a compliment, send me a Les Paul and you could even go higher in my estimation !!!!!

Wow, that's quite a compliment but more importantly, I'm very glad you enjoy the sims. I wanted people to be able to to just drag something in and have a good sound with minimum tweaking.

Actually I don't recall removing or locking any threads, for the forum I think of myself more like a bouncer at a club who escorts the disruptive people out so the "regulars" can have a good time  But I do spend a lot of time trying to solve peoples' problems.

You'll be happy to know I have a whole other type of effect (not amp sims, something completely different) "waiting in the wings." They will appear for members in the near future. The effects are designed and usable, all that remains is the UI design. Cakewalk is really stoked about them so I think you'll like the concept.

The Corporate thread you started dissappeared but possibly it was not you that pulled it. Go easy on the bouncing Graig as the way some of the Hosts are acting you could end up with an empty bar. LOL

Looking forward to the fx oh and by the way by dragging 2 amp sims into a track you can go into another dimension.

Do I take that you are not sending me a Les Paul then?

Have a good one and keep the good stuff rolling.

Craig I recall you saying a week or so ago something about a "readme" file that gave some details on the various FX chains in your set, but I haven't found it. Was I dreaming?

I'm not at my Platinum machine now, but if you open up the various folders for the effects chains, you should see the read me files. They're RTF format. They're actually kind of important if you want to get the most out of the amps, but even more so for the processors, environments, tighteners, etc.

These plugins are some of the most creative and functional hunks of math I have seen (heard).  The Drum Ambience tool is fantastic.  That will save thousands of people thousands of hours getting a great environment sound for well recorded drums in a less than sympathetic space.  Really well done Craig!

Did you find the read mes? I checked, they were in the folders. There's a single read me for all 16 amps.
