Andy Griffith R.I.P.

One of the tunes that my Cockatiel can whistle is the theme from The Andy Griffith Show and one of the funniest T-shirts that I ever saw was a pink T-shirt with a picture of Floyd the barber on it.

Funny, I was just thinking of him the other day and how his generation is fading fast.

He did a great version of The House Of The Rising Sun. Much better than the guys who had a hit with it in the 60's.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_2gdg17rtw

Well worth a listen. More lyrics in this original-ish version than the other guys did.

Here's the earliest known recording of House Of The Rising Sun if you're interested ...

    Thanks for everything Andy. R.I.P.

A great show. Had values, and was entertaining.

Here is the T shirt that I first saw in the late 1980's ... 'cept it was all pink and didn't say Pink Floyd on it so you needed half of a firing neuron to figure it out.
