Annoying ringing noises?

Hey! I'm working on some music using sounds from the Alchemy plugin and libraries. When some of the sounds play, there is an annoying, high-pitched ringing. It does this on some of them and not on others. Can someone tell me what this is and how to fix it? I've had this problem recording with my electric piano as well.

    Seeing as you're getting it with hardware AND software, it sort of points to wards something external to Sonar.

    This could be either your monitor chain or your interface.


    But you don't provide any information for anyone to even start making a diagnosis, so please list your full system spec, including interface/monitoring setup etc.

    How is your electric piano being routed through all this?

    I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit, with Sonar 8.5. My projects usually have all default settings for Sonar. My piano is recorded with a simple wire running from it to my computer. I'm probably missing something, so please tell me what to tell you.

    Welcome to the forum.
    What audio interface or sound card are you using?
    Is the "simple wire" an audio cable or a MIDI cable?
