Another NEW song. 'The Race' ft. Cobus Potgieter (drums)

Hey guys,

I've just finished a song called the race and uploaded it to youtube. It features drums by Cobus Potgieter.

This was a very different writing experience for me. Basically, if you don't know, Cobus does drum covers on youtube. He recorded a drum cover of 'Up All Night' by Blink 182. He's since released the 'drums only' video of it which I used to create this original song. It was hard work to write to a drum part, but, turned out to be a rewarding experience, I hope you enjoy this.

A few notes: I was obviously only able to use a stereo mix of the drums and as such the drum mix was slightly limited. I would have preferred a slightly louder snare drum. I've also had a few issues with my system and Sonar working with the Digi002 (well it's not working with it at the moment) so, I had to learn some basics on Pro Tools to make this one.

I hope you guys enjoy this. I'm really happy with it.

    DANG that's an awesome drum set!  I agree with you that the snare could use a little boost in volume.

    this is very good all around - love the video - very good professional looking.

    vox are great, guitar is fantastic.  very good stuff!

    So this is a drum track to a different song?  And you wrote a new song to it?  That's brilliant! I LOVE the song!  He's not too shabby on those drums, is he?  :)  (make me want to get back to practicing...I think drummers have the most fun.)  :)  Anyway, GREAT job, as always.  I really really like this.
