Another New Song - Long Road Home

Hi everyone , this new song was created before the most recent posted song was posted the other day .
I created this one for my mother who now is under the care of a 24 hour nursing home , she is in the 6th stage of Alzheimer's . My brother tried playing it for her but she ended up getting distracted when her nurse walked into her room , don't think she remembers it being played for her .
Anyway the song is called " Long Road Home " , it's leaning more on the mellow side .

Thanks for listening , James

I really enjoyed listening to this James. Very well done on the mix/muscianship. Your mom should be be proud of you. The only thing I thought could be more cleaner/clearer are the drums......they seemed to be slightly muddy and needs to be a bit brighter.....of course, this is just my opinion and a minor niggle.

Other than that, this whole project was really done well!!

This is a good listen and a touching honor for your mother.  I agree with Mesh that the drums could be treated so they pop out of the mix better, but otherwise, you did a fine job.

All that has been said about the mix and the tune has been said above, just a few tweaks here and there on the mix should bring it together.

Hi Lynn , I'm guessing your talking about adding alittle bit of compression added to my drum track .Thanks for taking time out to listen to this tune of mine , thanks for the advice I'll look into it this week-end .

    Cheers ! James

I've written more songs than I can remember but could never write anything for my Mother or Dad.  Never could figure that out.  It's pretty music and I hope you feel better after writing it.  There must be some release after getting that out.  Maybe I'll find that someday.  Haunting music.
