Another STUPID IK Policy

So, I was going through my IK account and seeing what I had and what I used.
I was looking at selling what I don't use and don't need...

So I click on "Transfer License" on one of my products only to be greeted with

"you have reached the maximum number of transfers.  Please contact IK Support if you
  wish to transfer this product"

So I checked the others.....SAME RESULT

WHAT?

If you CHARGE ME $19 PER item for transfer HOW CAN THERE BE A MAXIMUM?

This company is so ****ED it makes me sick....what a bunch of morons...

The REALLY sad thing is....I HAVEN'T SOLD ANYTHING in years...

Oh No!!!

Did you really say ****ED??
There all along I thought you said ****ED up.
If you said ****ED, then the censorship would have been a bunch of  bull ***t.
If you really said ****ED instead of ****ED, I fully concur with the censorship.
How can anyone use the term ****ED up. ****ED up maybe, but not ****ED up.

My virgin ears...

(edit) misspelled a profanity and an asterisk got dropped...

I've always had good and straight support from IK in times of need.
I do disagree with the time limit and fee on downloading some softwares already purchased if you lose a backup a year out.

Looking at AAS, Jamstix, Kontakt and others, the same softwares I purchased years ago are still there on my account to download. And not to forget Cakewalk and Reaper.

Wish IK would drop this limitation.

At least those other companies don't CHARGE you for transfers...
And I really have no problem with the fee...but "limit" to transfers?

That's just crazy...if I'm willing to pay the fee what do they care?

I just think they are a completely ludicrous company...even more so now...

Taking back Jampoints...even if it several years out...that's another dumb policy...
AND they hold the balance even in the negative.  So you have to "buy your way out"

plain and simple...they suck...

My very first, um, experience with PC audio software was Band-In-A-Box. What a piece of ****! Anyway, some IK demo stuff was installed by BiaB and it started bugging the **** out of me to upgrade/expand/square.dance/wear.sack.cloth.and.ashes, etc. I not only uninstalled the IK ****ware, I uninstalled BiaB without having a replacement, and started my search over...hopefully the wiser. [Edit: OK, not that much wiser. I wasted some more good money on Studio One before I got here.]

I'm sure IK have some (?) useful software, but from a go-to-business-model perspective...they SUCK. My first experience with them will be/was my last.

I'm waiting for you to tell us how you really feel.

At one time didn't IK have a no resale policy? I have no beef with IK or their policies. I've probably evened out with money spent vs. free stuff. I guess it's hush money.

Yet that transfer limit seems weird indeed.

CW products can not be transferred at all... so I do not see a problem there.

Sonar 8LE -> Platinum infinity, REAPER, Windows 10 pro
GA-EP35-DS3L, E7500, 4GB, GTX 1050 Ti, 2x500GB
RME Babyface Pro (M-Audio Audiophile Firewire/410, VS-20), Kawai CN43, TD-11, Roland A500S, Akai MPK Mini, Keystation Pro, etc.

To me that also is a problem, but I've known about it, so have no gripe.
I just think it's a ridiculous policy...

I'm sure support will be of assistance and they'll also gladly relay your dissatisfaction (I'll go ahead and do that too).  Let me know if your ticket isn't handled to your satisfaction.  Thank you.
