Another Screen Set Question

I have 5 basic Screen Sets.
1.  Track view with browser to begin tracking.
2.  MIDI editing with a small track view on top and large PRV in the Multi dock
3.  Console view (docked) with tracks and no buses.
4.  Console view (docked) with buses and as many track that will fit.
5. Audio editing a single track with the console/mixer below (docked).

First off everything seems to work OK this way but in Screen Set 3 and 4 the console view is a little cramped in the multi dock so I drag it out of the multi dock and close the view with windows red 'X' in the upper right hand corner.

Then I hit Alt-2 for the console view (NOT docked now) which now fills the entire window nicely. Still in Screen Set 4. I hit '1' to get back to Screen Set 1 and I get my track view as it should be in Screen Set 1.

Now here's the problem. When I go back to Screen Set 4 I get this look below.

The console view is visible in the background but there's a small window in the upper left showing the track view and the main window controls (maximize minimize etc.) I can get it all to work by docking the CV but not using the CV full screen any ideas?

Screen Sets are unlocked but that makes no difference.

It might be because you can't close the Track view and you're trying to do this on a single screen. If you have two screens you could just put the Console over on the second screen.

Or you may need to enable or disable floating on the Console view. Not sure though... but something to try...

    Thanks Scott,

Yeah, I'm using a single screen. I wonder if this is something that X1 simply will not do after enabling that Console View, and NOT having it docked? The behavior I'm expecting is for the last Screen Set to be pulled up just how the last Screen Set was saved, and not revert to a state that can't be worked with.

Hmm... enable or disable floating? How would one do that?

Perhaps this behavior is intended? If so I can live with it and dock the CV - but I do not like it - and expect Screen Sets to behave as advertised.

Strange I haven't seen any posts regarding this in the past.

EDIT: Found the enable floating button in the upper left corner but it's grayed out.

Hi Larry , I tried that and got the same result .
However , if  I hit Alt+2 again the  small window goes away :-)
Not ideal as the screenset should be preserved as you set it up IMHO .
Have you reported this , Larry ?

    All the best
