Another X1 Bug?????
Ok this is strange and I cannot see it being anything other than a bug, but I could be wrong. This has happened with several files. I open them, only for playback, then when I close them Sonar asks if I want to save the changes. WTF? So I look at my undo history and there's an envelope that has been created somewhere. At first I thought this was a specific file that was doing it, so I thought maybe there's some corruption or something, but like I said, this has happened now with several files. Any ideas?

I get this all the time with my projects. I just assumed I touched something and then choose not to save any changes and move on. That's an interesting observation regarding the envelope. I'll have to look into this when it happens to me. Sorry - other than to confirm that I "think" I have the same problem I don't have much to offer this thread

On the contrary, Coda, you are being helpful by letting me know that it doesn't happen to just me. I am 100% sure that I am not changing anything other than hitting play. I'm certainly not creating any envelopes.

Happened to me too, and I reported it. In fact, I see the little asterisk in the title bar indicating a change has been made immediately upon opening some projects,

This has been around a while for me. Back to 7 at least. So it's not x1 specific, more sonar specific. I, as coda, have never checked to see if I accidently changed anything. I just always say no. But i have been experiencing this for years. I will check next time to see if there is an envelope or anything.

Does this always happen to you with every project? You'll know it's going to do this to you if you open a project, and look at the project name all the way in the top left corner of your window pane. If it has one of these * after the project name, it's doing something somewhere to alter the original file. There are 2 times where I get this on my end. 1. In X1 is if I close a project out using a different screen set than it was saved with. 2. I'm beta testing some new plugs that for some odd reason, even after a save, as long as they are loaded up in the project, make the * enter the project the second it's loaded up. Are you using any strange 3rd party plugs by chance?

No, it happens randomly. Not on every project. I've been using Sonar since Sonar 1, 2,3 ,8,8.5 and now X1 and have never experienced this before. Yeah, I know that the * means the file has changed. It does it on its own. So far I've noticed it on 2 files. Weird!!!!!

the more bugs there are - the better the program. of course, as long as the bugs are worked out. so keep those bug reports coming. I love reading and hearing about X1 bugs and see the ever growing list - it's like my fix. I can't get enough of X1 bugs, I want more!
