Another automation question

I really am trying to figure this out on my own. I apologize if I'm asking stupid questions.

In 8.5 when using NI B4, I would play the part then click Write in the synth view and use the mouse to automate the Leslie and drawbars on the B4 gui while the piece played. Usually in one or two swoops. Can I still do that in X1, and if so, how?

Yes, that same procedure should work. You can just click the W button either in the track itself or in the top-right of the NI B4 synth window.

If you would rather use the Synth Rack, you'll need to dock the Browser in the MultiDock or just undock the Browser to a separate window so it will show the automation controls for the synths.

Clicking W in the track itself doesn't do anything. And, I dont have the W in top right corner of the B4 window. However, undocking the browser revealed the synth rack and that does work. It shows the automation in the output track. Thank you very much.

The B4 shows up on the insert synth list twice. If I try to insert the one in the NI folder, it says it's improperly installed. There is another one in the VST folder that works but like I said, the only way to automate it is via the synth rack. Any ideas how I can get the other one properly installed? I used to have the write button on the B4 gui. Don't know what's gone wrong.

    Thanks for your help Scott.
