Another, even better sax lib

OK, so my last sax recommendation caused rtucker some grief with what appeared to be a faulty vibrato script. My apologies to Rick. In my defense, I did say I'd only heard the demos, not that I'd actually used it.

Maybe this link will help make up for it: Embertone's Sensual Sax. This one's perhaps a little less versatile but very nice-sounding. It has very few controls: a choice of legato, stacked or polyphonic modes and a big knob in the middle labeled "SEX". Don't get your hopes up, it's a one-knob vibrato/reverb adjustment.

Best of all, it's a mere 20 bucks, which just happens to be my take-a-chance threshold.

Full Kontakt 4.2+ required. Sorry, for $20 you're not gonna get the free player.

FYI - The SEX Knob is more than just a reverb/vibrato adjustment... We left it unclear just because we suck at marketing, HOWEVER: - The Sex knob starts off by adding reverb and scripted vibrato - Once you cross a certain threshold, a whole new set of "sexy" legato is triggered - If you push the SEX KNOB too far, it just might rip a hole in the space/time continuum. Please be careful! :) This instrument was ridiculously fun to make!! -Alex

I was wondering about the "sex" knob, but I thought it was a "don't ask, don't tell" feature that would soon become self evident with regard to it's primary purpose. Given the flexibility of the space time continuum, we would expect great things to happen here. I anxiously await hearing from those that have ventured beyond the veil of this hitherto unexplored realm.

Yup...I've already abused "the sex knob" and it does indeed let you know when you have exceeded its limits:-)

Its kind of like star trek, you know its dangerous, but you want to go there regardless, no matter what the Klingons or the Romulans  might do

The samplemodeling demos sound Very good. Too bad they are not offering the discount to owners of other high end sax libraries like the CHH stuff. I would probably invest.

Even at 149 euros that is still about $200 plus the Paypal over inflated exchange fee. No way I could justify 249 euros for another sax package.

    Kind regards,
    Rick

It is expensive... It is not a deal? But it is the best out there (IMO). There are better deals, for less $$ And they may be close. The stuff by the boys at samplemodeling is just the best I've heard, and that counts for something? It's tax return time people :-) And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way, shape or form. Other than I am a happy customer :-) I can't have the best car? I can't have the best house? But I can have the best Sax plug-in :-)

Funny you mention tax return time. I owe the state $79...

Anyway, I already own Chris Hein Horns Pro Complete so I think I can get by for the time being.

    Kind regards,
