Another funeral to attend
I heard last night that a friend of 35 years standing has suddenly passed away, the funeral is tomorrow.
Brian was a lovely chap who worked for the same company for over 40 years.
We used to go on holiday, along with several other people, back in the late 70's, early 80's.
Sad, sad day, and a tangible reminder of my own mortality.

Well I'm glad that's over.
A very sad day for all concerned.
It was hard trying to stifle a slight chuckle when they started by saying "We are here to celebrate the "Life of Brian.........Andrew Hall"
We had a reading from The Hobbit by one of his nieces, no hymns (good move!!), and the ceremony concluded with "Always look on the bright side of life"
