Another idea:presents

What IF we told about our presents we got this Xmas? Tell about your fave or least fave present or both. Perhaps we should be humble and tell not if we got a house or similar very high priced stuff. I can start. My least fave present was a pair of metal tubes that made a little puzzle. Idea was to separate them from each other. I succeeded in half a minute. Ofc we could expand this thread so that we tell what we had wished for but got something else. You choose. Also expand this if you get a good idea. The present could also be fictional but don't tell if it is so we can guess.
The idea is to be funny although it can be hard.
This might be a bad idea I fear but let's try shall we?

I came up wit another idea: why not suggest the ones that make the forum software to create a way to put a thread far far to the next page if the thread maker is too eager ,like me ,to make threads?

In my Christmas Stocking this year;

A weak lemon drink
Some ungainly thrusting
A limited edition copy of 'Stan - A Baboon's Life'
1 kilo of powdered Water
14 frightened Italian Priests
An escape route from occupied Warminster
A pale thin boy with a note
Mount Fuji
The verb to Horse
A close run thing
6 cheeky otters
A reason for leaving
One half of the Climax Blues Band
A cloth chimney
An unpredictable mood swing

I got a new Visor CD holder for the truck.

My old one was so worn out and overstuffed with various mixes of the same tune sometimes they all would come dumping out all over the place. - So it begins again......

The pullover I got for Christmas kept picking up static electricity so I took it back to the shop.

They replaced it with another, free of charge.

Hi,

I just want to say ... that everyone get a real nice hug and love for the whole year, and that they are able to make it through in one piece and smiling. That Craig find a reasonable job, that Rain's better half can continue dancing and such, that ... you know the usual ... I can only hope for everyone smiling and appreciating their time and place and enjoy it. I'm basically looking to cut down my work hours so I can spend time on music and film and writing.

Re: Another idea:presents 2015/12/30 12:32:10 (permalink)
I have a no gifts policy which everyone around me reciprocates faithfully except my old mother who sends me a package across from the UK every year without fail, usually some wrongly sized item of clothing that I end up wearing anyway. This year was a few pairs of socks (which I actually needed) and some cozy pajama bottoms that are about 4 inches too long but I like them. She does make me laugh though. Last year the package arrived a week before Xmas and she told me "make sure you don't open it until Christmas, it's a surprise." On the outside of the package was a customs sticker on which she'd written "contains scarfs." This year she left the receipt in the package, upon which I was able to ascertain that she'd also bought a large bag of cashew nuts alongside my socks and PJ's.

But, if I want something specific for Xmas I pretty much have to buy it myself. I've actually been very good this year and haven't bought anything except a $75 plugin, but let's just see how it goes before the year's out.
