Another unbelievable thing....

Mooch and I have tickets for Buddy Guy's nightclub for Saturday May 14th. Please don't call it "date night". Mooch likes calling it that but I'm kinda not cool with it.

But the amazing thing is, I thought we were just gonna sit at his place eating pizza, Oreo's and bon-bons while listening to his feeble attempts at perfecting an Am note on his Hofner*.

* I guess we're going out since his brother-in-law has still not returned his Hofner.

I thought you were going to pick up the Hofner and hand deliver it so you could stay in and
    work on those Am notes.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Does he / they still have the open mic night.  Sometime back in the mid-90's I took a couple of week-long optical microscopy courses at the McCrone Research Institute (Walter McCrone was the guy back in the mid 70’s that showed the red “blood” sections of the Shroud of Turin were red ochre and vermilion paint pigments in a collagen tempera medium).  While out exploring the city, I had dinner by myself at Buddy Guy’s Place and as a spur of the moment thing, I signed up for the open mic night … I ended up jamming on the drums both times I was in Chicago to attend courses and one of times Buddy was actually in the audience (dressed in some funky tuxedo).
