Cool. I had a laminectomy at the L4-L5 about a year ago. All's good and SO much better than before the surgery. You'll be all healed in no time.

    Thanks everyone............

Sorry I haven't got back sooner.............

Been trying to lay low,  and save enough energy to make a few phone calls ,so my  son Josh can  keep doing some installs.

I have one other employee whom only works week-ends, he's gonna give me one extra per week ,that will help out as well.

I pretty much now,  just wait and see if any of my Neurological symptoms clear up or even completely go away.

Its hard to say right now as I have been thoroughly doped up 24/7

    Thanks Jason

I always felt one weekend per week was never enough, an extra one somewhere around Wednesday would be nice.

Ha!  No kidding!  I used to work four 10-hour days with Wednesday off so it was work two days, take a day off, work two more, take two days off.  It was great 'cause I got to do things that you seem like you have to do during "work hours" and, as far as I was concerned, the annoying part is getting ready for work and the travel to and from so working a couple extra hours every day was easy (of course, eventually, it became FIVE 10-hour days with a few hours over the weekend  and then it was no fun at all...).

    Hope your recovery goes well.

So this is my first medical update..............

So far not so good.    I am developing C5 nerve palsy in my right arm. (dead Arm/Shoulder)

Its gotten to point where  can no longer lift anything not even a feather above my shoulder.

The left arm which was my oringinal symptom getter...............it is beginning shut down as well.

It also appears I had  a rookie doing my urine cath............they tore my junk up so badly  they suspect they tore a ligament up in the battle station.

Great a torn FREAKIN Penis ligament.....Yahoo..........maybe if it gets bad enough visually, I'll throw up a   You Tube!!!!

I see the actual NS tomorrow (not his RN  )for my first real post visit. Hopefully we can develope a plan of attack that works.

I had a similar thing happen.  I couldn't pi$$ for over 24 hours after the surgery and had to go to the ER and get a cath put back in to relieve me.  it took about a month to fully heal from that.

    Saw my N.S................................

1st on the list .........no penis tear............yeh............

    But.............swollen ligament...................ouch..........time should heal.

All tests for nerve palsy are negative............... arm movement is limited due to the procedure's  trauma on the affected  limbs.

    Again ....time should  heal..........

The N.S. also re-structured my meds at my request,

They had me doing several  cocktails of Oxy,Percocet and Flexiril all depending on pain rating and time between doses.

I asked him to get rid of the Oxycodon completely and go to a lower dose of Percocet hourly.

Then cut the Flexiril from 4 times daily to 3 times daily.

He agreed less is better if thats what I wanted..............and if I could handle it,

The N.S. gave several pre PT excercises for my arms and said he would see me again next Fri.

    I'll post some more later.

Thanks for the update.  Glad to hear there's no tear (I'm sure you are, too).  Cutting down on those meds when you can is a good thing.  Very glad to hear about those negative test results.

Praying for a speedy and healthy recovery.
