I have the Anderton vids and like them,
I was thinking about these...
Do I need all three...?
I have Mixing and Explained, which I got when I first got X1.... They are good....some useful info... I also have the first Anderton vid...would like "The Next Step" since it's on sale.. But the Plugin fairies have been dropping super deals in my lap..so have been dropping my bucks there,... They're (to me) definitely worth the money...even if just for reference.... I'll get Tips & Tricks too eventually... I have a hard time sitting down and reading...even though I've probably read a zillion books in my life.. I have X1 Power by Scott Garigus, who frequents this forum...as we all know...Great book.. And I'm sure that great majority of the material will still apply when X2 is released... But I'll get Scott's X2 book anyways...LOL I REALLY have to force myself to read... So a video is a bit easier...LOL

I think I'll get the groove 3 vids, I need all the help I can get.
I haven't made it though the Anderton ones yet but I like them.
Takes time to watch and put into practice the lessons.
Might as well get them now even though it might take me a year to digest them.

You have to examine these "deals" closely every time....the green powder mix I buy from the health food store comes in a giant "economy" size tub, and when I did the $/lb calculation it actually came out more expensive than the smaller tub, weight for weight. Sometimes vendors will just rely on people reacting positively to words like "bundle" and "economy."

The VENDOR does not offer a BUNDLE.... ONLY CAKE offers the BUNDLE (NON) deal Only the individuals....which is fine.. But, the NORM, for a BUNDLE, is for it to be a DEAL for buying them ALL TOGETHER... Granted it's only 10 cents higher...but...the Bundle SHOULD be LESS then the individuals... Even if only by a buck or two...

I tried the Xplained.
Wow, very well done!
I can't complain about the content or quality of the Anderton vids but no index, just long movies that you jump around to the part you want.
(the timeline tells you the name of the chapter which helps)
But the groove 3 have such a nice video interface, works like a charm, and easy to understand.
A very big help.
I'll pick up the other two here pretty soon and save my $0.10!

I have all three of these videos, and they are well worth having, especially for $69 and change. I really want to get the Anderton videos as well, which I may do while they are on sale. It's fine to read about this stuff, but watching someone else go through the motions really helps cement the ideas in my head. The mixing video was especially good for watching workflow and technique, which is something you just can't get out of a book, IMHO. Get them and be inspired!

tacman, If you run the Anderton videos in QuickTime you get a menu in the bottom right corner... you can go to any chapter you want... Just an FYI... Cheers!
