[Answered] Asio for All drivers or Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 drivers?

I have Sonar x3 Producer, Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and WIndows 8.1 Pro x64.  I have downloaded and installed the asioforall
drivers from the asio website.  In Sonar, I have the options to select the Asio drivers or the Focusrite drivers that do not say anything about asio.  Do Focusrite drivers have asio or I am right to still select the Asio for all drivers?
Any help is appreciated.

When a manufacturer supplies an ASIO driver, it is almost always better than ASIO4ALL. Focusrite is no exception. They make excellent drivers for their products. Uninstall the ASIO4ALL driver and use the Focusrite driver.

So even though the Focusrite driver doesnt specifically say asio, it is still asio?

If SONAR Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording "Driver Mode" is ASIO, only ASIO drivers appear in Preferences > Audio > Devices

I have the Scarlett 18i20.  The Focusrite drivers are great.  Never an issue here.

That sounds like a good idea

In the unlikely event you have issues with the Focusrite drivers consider opening another thread.
