[Answered] Sidechaining a Gate

I am trying to get some ambient noise to go in rhythm with the drums. I'm thinking if I sidechain the noise to a gate that is an effect on the drums, I could probably achieve this. Is this possible in Sonar X2? Any help would be great!

It's totally possible. The Sonitus gate has a side chain input. You want the noise to go through the gate. Create a bus for the drum track, and send it to the gate side chain input. Set threshold so that it follows the drums as desired.
