[Answered] Why Can't Software See MIDI Devices?

Just found this handy article from a tweet from Electronic Musician and thought I would pass it along.  It gives a solution to deleting the duplicate USB MIDI ports created when you plug USB MIDI devices into different ports. Don't know if most are aware of this but i wasn't so I thought I'd share.
Cheers

Thanks for that, felt good to remove some old stuff for some reason....
[Generic don't try this at home folks warning] BTW please don't delete devices that are unknown to you otherwise you could end up in deep sh*t.

The power of the Cakewalk forum...!

EM asked if I could answer the question, and I wrote the answer. But the first time I saw the .BAT file aspect was in this forum! I don't remember who posted it, but I wrote the file and saved to my desktop. Over the years it's come in handy when I wanted to clean things up.
