[Answered] is there a way to lengthen a wave's duration(end)?

Hi, I am trying to lengthen a wave's residual sound (not the attack sound) so it lasts longer.
Is there a way to directly manipulate the wave form?

PS; I'm trying to avoid reverb because the part that i want to hear is about half a second.

I'd appreciate any help. Thnx

Ctrl-click on the end of the waveform so you see a yellow line on the clip edge, and drag.

If you don't want to affect the attack at all, split the clip a some point after the attack. You may need to crossfade across that "seam" slightly after changing the duration of the second part of the clip.

When done, bounce to clip to invoke the high-quality offline stretching algorithm instead of the lower-quality, real-time preview algorithm.

I don't know why, but few people seem aware of this technique. Just remember to bounce the clip to itself after stretching.

Yeah you might not even need a seam. Just split at the end note and stretch it and slip edit to taste if seam-ness is needed.
