Antares Auto-Tune EFX & iLok Questions

I just got an e-mail from Cakewalk with a special offer to purchase Antares Auto-Tune EFX for $79. It seems like a pretty good deal, but it says: PLEASE NOTE: Antares requires an iLok key for authorization. If you do not own an iLok key, you will need to purchase it separately for an additional cost. 


Just wondering if anyone is using this plugin?  Anyone know of vendors for iLok in Australia or do you have to order it from the iLok website (costs around $50 plus postage of another $25 I think)? I have also been thinking of getting the Propellerhead Record upgrade from Reason 4. I think this uses iLok, so maybe this would save having to buy the iLok separately.

    Don't know about aussie prices.  I got one here in the states: USD 35 a few years ago.

    Antares is pretty good stuff.  Worksfine with teh iLok.  I got one of their vocal plugs, and then got another "free" since their Kantos synth wasn't upgraded past XP.  I must say,tho, that Kantos is my favorite of theirs.

    OK thanks. Good to know the iLok isn't causing any other issues. Actually I just ordered Record, and I think that this comes with iLok. I'll have to check on that though. I mainly wanted the Reason 5 upgrade, and it was only another $30 to get Record as well, so I though why not. I am not sure if Propellerheads "ignition key" is the same thing as iLok or not. Anyone able to confirm?

    I resisted getting an i-lok for a while, but so many programs require them now.  

    I got my for the EWQL orchestra.  But also needed it for Lexicon and sound toys.

    I also got the Antares EFX.   It's not to bad, plus should offer an upgrade path.
