Antares Harmony EFX

I picked this up on a e-mail special from Music 123 (actually the same as Guitar Center and Musician's Friend as it was shipped from Kansas City, Mo) for $39.  I got it in yesterday and tried it on a couple of vocals.  Not bad, especially considering the price.

I used it on this song a while back.

As always, in the right context these tools can work, IMO.

Its like anything else, a place for it and not "all the time".

I don't mean to steer off topic but I've never been able to use mine without crashing Sonar.

It is my only plugin with iLOK and I've been assuming the iLOK drivers are the culprit. I installed the 64 bit drivers as I recall.

Now I see you all apparently have no problems running Harmony EFX so I'm curious if you are 64 bit and, if so, which drivers you are running. I wouldn't mind getting mine to work...

I used it here: http://robbykband.bandcamp.com/track/song-for-emmylou to fill out the lead but very painfully, sufferred through dozens of crashes. That also probably was back with Sonar 7.

    Thanks!

I've been using Antares Autotune EFX and now the Harmony EFX, both 32 bit applications, with 64 bit versions of Sonar without a problem.  I've use the Autotune EFX with Sonar 8.5.3 (64 bit version) , X1 (64 bit) and now X2 (64 bit).

I don't think its the iLok software that is causing your problems.  I've got other software that also uses the iLok including Pro Tools MP9 and none have a problem.

Well I'll revisit this when I have some extra time and try and figure it out. I kind of liked the software for what it is. Thanks for the info!
