Have they released a new model of this, or is it the "vintage" version?

Well, I'm glad you got it then. I had a JV-1010 module at some point and have played with an XP-10, which have basically the same sound engine as the JV-80. They're good synths for acoustic sounds, although I like the Korg sound better (I also had a Korg X5D and Wavestation SR). I kinda miss the X5D, but it was a nightmare to program sounds with it - even with a PC editor.

Anyway, a new keyboard is always a nice thing to have (even if it's second hand). I just love trying new synths.

Hey, is that a Korg Sigma in your gear list? How are those? I've had more than one chance to buy one relatively cheap.

Actually, that's my old audio card.. I don't know why people don't believe me when I tell them that I literally ripped it out of my laptop, and threw it into the lake nearby.

But anywho, I have a friend who has a sigma. For some reason, I only have friends who are over the age of 30. That confuses me. Anywho, yeah.. I've tried it out once or twice. Not too great of a sound in my opinion but it's worthy of being used in a few of my projects.
