Any Downsides/Risks To Early Access?

Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any downsides/risks involved with using the Early Access versions.

Do I ever have to worry about the following:

-corrupting projects
-causing issues with the OS
-effecting future update installs (meaning, once I get the official public release version, does it completely overwrite the Early Access)?

Thank You!

I have had a couple of small issues with opening projects edited in latest releases (not just early access) when opened in an earlier version after rolling back. For example archived synth tracks being recognised as missing outputs or midi outputs changing, but they were easily resolved.

Rollback works very well for the most part, though again I have had one past issue (amidst many successful rollbacks).  If you want 100% certainty make a disc image of your system drive before you update. That way you can restore your working setup anytime you like.

I have had no issues with early updates affecting official releases. Sometimes they are identical.

Last month with the PRV tweakage there was a bug where if the PRV was undocked (as I like it) and the file saved then it would crash sonar upon re-open. This was dealt with in a few days in a subsequent update to the early access so it was not too dramatic. So yeah, anything can happen. Doesn't stop me and my gimme gimme spirit though.

Not that I know of Adam.
I have done almost every ER that was available to us as users and never had anything irreversible.
I've had bugs that were fixed after the update was complete and given to general public.
but never had anything permanent. Im sure its possible to have something go array but so far so good here.

With that being said, I wouldn't download an ER and expect to complete money paying jobs on time.
Because I believe the percs of getting the ER is being able to be the first to use it..but also taking the risks of some bugs that need fixing/improving.
    Hope this helps.

You mean corrupt a project for good? - Let's hope not.
