Any Izotope RX 2 Opinions?

I got a 'Waves Special' email about a Noise Reduction plug.
A google search for opinions and prices led me to KVR & Gear Slutz among others, which brought up some other comparable Waves ones as well as Izotope's RX 2.

Seems that many would recommend RX 2, citing it as more versatile.

Now that RX 3 has been announced for September, I'd really like some opinions here from the 'faithful Bretheren' of which I spend more time at this site than any other forum.

Izotope's price is $349, but I have found it down to $231 @ Plugin discounts.

Cheaper anywhere else?

Is there any logic in waiting for their introductory price in Sept?

Thanks Buds,

James

RX2 is very, very good. An essential part of my business. Really looking forward to RX3.

If for nothing else than to remove background fan/hum noise in a live track (slip editing only goes so far), RX 2 is heaven sent.

In the past sometimes it's worth waiting for their introductory price - sometimes not [even though this is Version 3, and there may not actually be one].

What would be your guess there fellas?

plugindisconts.com is the cheapest price around for isotope plugins unless you get a used copy at KVR maybe.

I'm holding out for the bundle (alloy, nectar, ozone, rx2).  been waiting for a isotope sale but so far only stutteredit has had a sale this year.

Perhaps they'll throw a sale on when RX 3 comes out next month.

I already have Ozone 5, otherwise I was looking at that bundle too.

Lowest I saw that for was $464 2 days ago.

I'm considering selling Ozone 5 & then getting that bundle, but I'm not sure what I'd get for Ozone 5 would be worth it by the time the smoke clears.
