Any M-Audio Key Rig users?

I posted this on the M-Audio forum, but there appears to be ZERO traffic there, and a question left for weeks garners no response whatsoever. That forum is effectively useless. so I turn to my Sonar friends, because it does involve Sonar. Here's the crux of it: I've installed my Key Rig both as a standalone (which works) and as a plugin (which does not). I've scanned the appropriate folder with Cakewalk's VST adapter repeatedly. Just to be sure, I've run it with Key Rig's DXi box checked and also not checked. In either case, it does NOT appear in my fx bin, nor does it appear as a softsynth selection. I CAN run it in to a midi track and then out to another softsynth (edirol or whatever), so there is a workaround solution. But I'd like to run it the way it's intended too. Any ideas out there for what to try next? Thanks for the help. Mark

Hi Mark. I have the M-audio Keyrig installed as a vst in my softsynths bin in MC4 and it works perfectly. It's my "go to" for pianos and organs and I am very happy with it....no problems....Ron.

So, then, Ron, I gather that, with my project open, if I go to the menu at the top, select Insert>softsynths.....Key Rig should be among the options listed, along with Edirol, dreamstation etc. Right? It doesn't so maybe I should try reinstalling it. I'm just guessing at this point.

I have keyrig but since I built my last computer it sits in its box. Sorry to hear of your problem. I wonder how hard it would be to take the .dll file off the CD and put it into the vst folder?

I've scanned the M-Audio folder, and Key Rig does indeed appear on the list of plugins in the VST Adapter. However, it does NOT appear in Sonar. The next step will be to copy the dll file and put it into the same folder with all my other plugins and see if that makes a difference. But thanks for the tips fellas.
