Any Way To Open Multiple Prochannel Settings At Once?
Hello,
I am looking to load a Prochannel preset on multiple tracks at once. It seems to work on busses (if I highlight many busses and choose to open a prochannel preset file, it applies down the line, but not for tracks. I would expect similar behavior. Any ideas? Thank You!

I just checked, and it does work for tracks if you use Quick Grouping. You'll need to do this from the Console view so you can open up a ProChannel for a track that's not selected. Refer to the Help for why.

Hello Anderton, I just tried from the Console View (Platinum edition), and it doesn't work. Are you getting it to work by selecting a bunch of tracks and then holding control, then going to one of the prochannel "Load Preset" buttons then choosing a file on your computer to load? I am doing that, and it is only changing the one track I hit "Load Preset" on. thank you

even other things work for busses but not for tracks - go to track view and select a bunch of busses, and change their output to a different bus..they ALL change... but do that for tracks above.. no go.

I routinely reroute groups of tracks to different busses and can assure you quick grouping works for me there. Which version are you on?

Platinum. I can re-route from the console view many tracks at once, but not from track view... however, I can reroute multiple busses in track view. makes no sense.

Yes, and it does work. But it seems you may not understand the fine points of Quick Grouping, which is why I recommended referring to the Help. Perhaps you're not holding Ctrl while you select the preset. You have to keep Ctrl held down until the preset appears in all the ProChannel modules. Also remember that if you're trying to add a preset (or do any kind of Quick Grouping) to ALL ProChannels, if you select only one track and have the focus on it, then you'll select a preset for only that track. This is why I recommend using Console View for Quick Grouping, you can have more than one ProChannel open so you have one track selected but use a different track to open a preset using Quick Grouping. Please refer to the Help for details. What you want is easy to do and works every time.

Hi Anderton, I checked the help and I understand quick grouping. Like I said, it works on busses, but not on tracks (in track and console view). I am holding CTRL down the entire time, even while selecting my preset. It works if I adjust a parameter on the virtual console emulator so I know my quick grouping is working, it just doesn't want to work when I am selecting presets, forcing me to choose the same preset over and over for each track I want to apply it to. I am starting to think there might be something wrong with my install or something. I understand completely what you are saying, it just ain't working. Thanks For Your Help!

Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to apply a track template to an already existing track ? This would be perfect for a situation like this.

Well...yes, except it seems there's some underlying problem that needs resolution if I can do something and he can't do the same thing.

I don't know if this will help, but I recently had trouble doing this exact same thing and finally discovered that I had some folders in track view, which were closed at the time I tried to change multiple prochannel setups using quick grouping. I could not make the changes on every track. Then out of frustration I opened up all the folders and voila, I was able to change every channels's prochanell setup using guick groups.

Yea I would love that to happen.....It would save me so much time!.... I have the same problem that the original poster has. I can change eq setting for all selected tracks but I can't load the track presets it only applies that to the last track I selected. rafone

here's the scoop Mr. A, I just tested it on 8 different pro channels, each one of them load the same preset at one time. So I don't know what you mean when you say it cant be done. sorry if im just reiterating what's already been said but this how it works (like you said) 1-Open the Inspector2-Select Pro Channel in the inspector3-Select/Swipe the tracks you want to the presets for (make sure they are all highlighted)4-Hold the CNTRL button down till you die !5-Click the load button in the Inspector Pro channel presets box6-Opens all pro channels with the same preset. Craig is right (not that he needed validation), its the quick group function. Any way, hope this helps. PS- I believe Track templates on existing tracks would benefit a lot of users including myself. also save the confusion of what we have here. Ill be perfectly honest, I didn't know you could load multiple presets at one time. Learn something new every day.
